Zarina Fernandez - The Melbourne based Interior Stylist and Decorator behind The Workspace Stylist has had a somewhat unconventional entry into the industry.  Having graduated from Melbourne University with a Bachelor of Commerce and Cert IV in Training and Assessments, she also completed a Graduate Diploma in Management from Deakin University  She then went on to work in a large Multi National Company for 15+ years as a Corporate Trainer.  

 

After starting a family, she decided to pursue her passion for all things Interior Design and was lucky to secure a position with Joanna Ford of Joanna Ford Interior Design as a Design Assistant and Stylist in 2013. She continues to work closely with Joanna Ford but freelances as a stylist for other Designers too. It was during this time that she realised her natural flair for styling homes. She loves working with clients to achieve beautiful and functional homes and draws upon an extensive team of trades and suppliers to achieve this. In addition, she found she had a particular strength in designing workspaces given her previous Corporate background. She enjoys working with small to medium sized businesses to also achieve stylish and functional workspace designs.

Whether it’s designing a stunning residential or a business project, Zarina designs and styles each project with particular emphasis on furnishings, finishes, aesthetic presentation and functionality. Incredibly detail oriented, she incorporates her client's personality into the design of their interiors. Zarina Fernandez’s work is known for it’s style, function and timeless appeal. Her first Workspace Design as The Workspace Stylist was in a 4 level building designed by Architect Karl Fender in 2015, an amazing beginning for this up and coming Stylist and Decorator
